Rare Union Artilleryman's ID Pin Fashioned in GOLD.
Enlisted at 30 years of age on 8/29/1862 at Leyden, NY as a Private.
On 9/12/1862 he mustered into "C" Co. NY 6th Battn Heavy Artillery. He was transferred out on 12/31/1862.
On 12/31/1862 he transferred into "K" Co. NY 5th Heavy Artillery. He was Mustered Out on 6/26/1865 at Harper's Ferry, WV.
The pin measures 1 inch x 3/4 inch and is in excellent condition.
